Susan has created something in Accutrainee that doesn’t just provide an alternative route to qualification, but adds a lot more value to all parties concerned than may initially be obvious. For firms like mine, we benefit greatly from the partnership that takes our trainee’s development and technical competencies way further than we can do on our own in the same amount of time. I hired a paralegal. Our business is growing and our in-house legal needs are ever increasing and without me doing much extra, before long we shall have a newly qualified lawyer in someone that already knows us and our business. My Accutrainee experience was fantastic from the minute I arrived at Accutrainee’s offices for the assessment centre! I did part of my training at an American law firm, which specialised in trade finance and part of it in-house for the asset management arm of a Swiss bank. I learned so much and made some great contacts. It also helped me work out what area of law I wanted to specialise in. I went into private practice on qualification and now work for a large asset manager.
