Founder’s statement
Accutrainee took on its first trainee in July 2012. I was nervous about introducing a new concept into a traditional industry, but it’s one that I strongly believe in. I really wanted to create opportunities for graduates in a market where it seemed increasingly hard to do so. I also wanted to give legal service providers an easier and more efficient way to use trainees.
My priority from the start has been to get the best quality candidates – without that, we wouldn’t have a business. I’m lucky to have a great team and advisory board working with me, and we’ve devised an assessment programme which I believe (and which our clients have confirmed through candidate feedback) is exceptional. Through this we’ve helping promote diversity in the workplace – our programme is based on testing core competencies and skills as well as personal aptitudes and ambition, NOT just on how someone may look on paper.
